Is silk bedding hot or cold to sleep in?+

How do I wash it?+
Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle inside a mesh bag, or hand wash, using a mild pH-neutral detergent. Lay flat or hang to dry away from direct sun, and skip the tumble dryer, bleach and fabric softener. No ironing is needed; light steaming on a low setting is safe.

What does 22-momme mean and why does it matter?+
Momme measures the weight and density of silk, the way thread count does for cotton. At 22 momme this is a premium weight — substantial, opaque and durable — while still soft and breathable. Lighter silks of 16 to 19 momme feel thinner, drape less well and wear out faster with repeated washing.
